- Visual Basic.NET GIS
Visual Basic.NET GIS is a library for Visual Basic .NET for implementing GIS into your applications. This wrapper is 100% VB.NET / .NET code. The library runs on top of the open source GIS project called MapServer. MapServer was developed for Internet based GIS system, but we designed a virtual CGI environment so that we can have access to the MapServer functionality. The only part of MapServer you will need to know about is the map configuration files, but we'll provide plenty of examples for that. The goal is to provide an alernative to MapObjects or other commercial GIS libraries.
